Just when you thought Disney XD couldn't possibly sink any lower, it does... allowing even more disgusting crap that's not worthy of the Disney brand. Pathetic! (VIEWER WARNING: The trailer you're about to see contains a vomiting scene, and may be too disturbing for children.)

TV has just about died anyway, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they're showing mess like this. Especially on a Disney network.

They'll probably show this on midnights.

Meh, it doesn't seem so bad as some other networks, say
Nickelodeon? Damn network's been stuck in the 90's and
mean that in a bad way.

Have you guys seen some of the adult/teen-oriented trash ABC Family is showing?

It's like Disney XD is going by their rules.

That show seems a little more crude than usual. ABC Family just shows disgruntled families so I guess they're on track.

ABC Family isn't ALL about family. Remember Slacker Cats?

I've seen the shows on ABC Family, and they're pretty disgusting too. I'm sure if Walt Disney himself saw this crap bearing his name, he'd turn in his grave. I'm also sure John Lasseter is pissed at this as well, because he's been working so hard to revitalize Walt DIsney Animation Studios since Disney bought Pixar in 2006. The worst part about this is if we allow this to continue, then the Nickelodeon's of the world, which sell frat-boy humor to 8-year-olds, are gonna win the day.

Do yourself a favor and stop watching this crapfest or turn down cable altogether. Its not worthy anymore.

I wouldn't go that far, because I'm sure he'd be proud of John Lasseter for fixing up Walt Disney Animation Studios and saving them from the creative hell Eisner put them into. Lasseter was a godsend. If it weren't for him, Disney Animation would have been driven by executives for the sake of money for the rest of the company's existence.

Honestly, this doesn't look very different from what we've been seeing for the past 15 years. Gross out toilet humour has been in the media for over 2 decades.

Still, it's not worthy for the Disney brand.

Disney XD is mainly just Disney in name only. It often acquires a bunch of shows that they have nothing to do with, like Naruto Shippuden or Doraemon. This show isn't even produced by Disney, so I fail to see how this is any worse than Nicktoons showing Dragon Ball Z when Nickelodeon is "supposed" to be about comedic cartoons.

Coming to think of it, I can see that. I also see Disney Channel as kind of the same thing, especially since it has nothing but teenybopper sludge that has nothing to do with the Disney brand most of the time outside of Paul Rudish's hit-or-miss Mickey Mouse TV shorts, not to mention occasional airings of Walt Disney Animation Studios or Pixar fare.

As for the reason why crap like Kirby Buckets shouldn't be airing, never have I seen a children's program air a scene with a kid vomiting on camera before (yes, I know Rugrats did it a few times, but it involved babies and little children, and didn't do it very often... at least that's how I remember it). During the company's early days as a simple animation studio, Walt Disney would have slapped the tar out of anyone who put in a vomiting sequence and fired him/her on the spot.

Disney has produced PG-13 movies like the Pirates of the Caribbean films, so maybe they figure won't get in trouble by making something edgier like Kirby Buckets.

The thing about that is, it's a movie based on a popular Disney Parks attraction. Not to mention it actually feels like something Walt would have done, like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Disney should start an "Adult Swim-like" block on late nights, and Kirby Bucket will fit in that category!
