Circa 1985 or 86. I was 6 years old. I loved anything giant robot. On a regular trip the video rental store I found an awesome looking giant robot tape. At the time I had no idea what anime was, but I already knew I liked the style. I compared it to Voltron, just like I compared it to Tranzor Z and Robotech. I rented this tape only once, but I was pretty intrigued by it. I never heard anything about it again and I cannot remember the name. I only remember small details about the show.
I believe it add 3 giant robots that I thought looked like football players.
A kid called them UFOs I think.
I believe that same kid was investigating them and said something about specializing in theories (first time I heard that word).
Can anyone tell me what I watched?
