Hi, I figured I'd ask in the forums here if anyone can help me identify 2 video games I used to play in the mid to late 80s. I thought they were for Commodore 64 but now I am not so sure... but I do know they were computer games.
One I originally though was Commando, but I have looked up the C64 Commando and it's just like the NES and arcade versions, however the "Commando" type of game I played was not that. But it still did have elements of Commando. It scrolled up and you still shot enemies while walking upward. BUT it was slower moving than Commando, way less enemies, and even the bullets seem to move slower, and you could easily avoid them... whereas the enemies had a harder time. And I don't remember there being music playing during levels, but you still heard the sound effects of the bullets and getting hit, but it was subtle sounds. And there were trees and such that would block the bullets and that's all I can really remember. Any ideas?
And the other one was similar to Elevator action, except it was more side scrolling... and also more escalators and less elevators. I remember mainly you could go left or right up and down escalators and the levels didn't stay on the same screen... you kept moving from screen to screen shooting bad guys on the platforms and escalators. Again, any ideas?
For years I thought these were just different versions of Commando and Elevator Action on C64, but when I looked them they were not! Please help! Thanks =)
