No, but I thought they were playing episodes all day.

      They did.

I'll watch from Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire to Marge vs. the Monorail. I hate the mid to late 1990s (1993-1999) with a passion.

Edit: I didn't realize they showed those episodes already.

I think I might stop watching the marathon once it gets to some part of the 2010's.

Wow, really? I think episodes until 2000 is the cutoff point for me.

I'm an 80s and early 90s (1990-1993) person. The Simpsons literally became cartoon characters after Homer's Triple Bypass. I hated that, even at the time. To each its own, I guess. In other words, the show jumped the shark with Marge vs. the Monorail.

After four days of watching mostly Simpsons on t.v, I've noticed that family guy has used a lot of spoofs created by the Simpsons. One example is when Homer is playing Black Jack and keeps hitting even after he reaches 21. Peter Griffen does exactly the same thing in one of his flashbacks, the only difference was that Homer was betting with his whole life savings, Doh!

I don't know if you noticed, but in the Simpsons episode $pringfield, Marge develops a gambling problem when she plays a slot machine at a casino and the same thing happens to Lois in the Family Guy episode "The Son Also Draws".

I vaguely remember that Simpsons episode. I definitely remember that Family Guy episode, I believe they were at an Indian casino and Peter lied and said he was part Indian in order to try and get their money back, something along those lines. This is another good example of what I was talking about. I guess the Family Guy writers watch old Simpsons episode for inspiration.

So, will FXX have a Simpsons marathon like this again or is this a once in a lifetime thing?

That's a good question, all I can say is I hope they do it again. Last night we watched the NSYNC episode, it was pretty funny.

                            Nice one.

                            "Wooorrrd."

I had the opportunity to see some episodes I haven't seen in so long. Like the one where Barney goes sober (No, really!) and takes helicopter lessons.

I remember bits and pieces of the episode when Barney goes sober, but it's been ages.

One of yesterdays episodes referenced the Odd Couple, I was happy to see that because old shows like that hardly get referenced anymore.

There was an episode where Homer hummed the theme to The Odd Couple to Lisa.
