No sitting in the bench with Gatorade after a heavy collition... you have an open injured well then... a band aid and you're in again. I would love to see preteen girls playing like that.

Drahken 4 months 21 days ago Posts: 1237	Seriously though, virtually no one in the US plays soccer beyond high school (most don't play it past jr high). With the other stuff you mention, I assume you're talking about nfl? I despise football/nfl/gridiron, largely because I get so sick of having it crammed down my throat at every turn. It'd be bad enough if it was halfway decent, but from what I've seen of it, it's more like chess with human pieces. They seem to spend more time getting into position & arguing about referee judegments than actually playing. With all the long dead times interspersed with brief rushes of action, it's like watching rush hour traffic. In contrast I once saw a bit of rugby or australian football or something (not sure exactly what it was), and the players just kept playing until they scored, never stopping for stupid shit like the ball touching the ground or whatever.

Dyzfunk7ional 4 months 16 days ago Posts: 3942	^ No. I was talking about Football or 'Soccer' for most of you. I have not heard of open head injuries on NFL players... whats the helmet for? I think Rugby is harder than NFL. The game is more active and players don't use heavy protective gear.

Just because they won doesn't make it retro. The World Cup is held every four years anyway.
