So what are yours:

80's: MASK- Of all the 80's toys I wish I had a full set of, this was it. I still saved a few (like Condor, Rhino, and Switchblade) but they're were so many sold over the years . The great thing about this line was that it was completly original and all the transforming parts would ACTUALLY work and fit together. C'mon toy executives, bring back this toyline!

90's: X-Men- They literally came out with almost every X-Men character in History! Probably one of the most extensive character lines since the Star Wars vintage figures of the 70's/80's. I thought the special features on the characters were cool and it had a healthy run, well at least until they killed the line with their crappy water toy gimmick line. :x

I recently checked out the toy aisle at Target and you won't believe the kind of shoddy crap they are trying to push on kids today!

The only toys that looked even slightly cool were the re-hash or remakes of past lines ie: TMNT, G.I. Joe, Transformers, or Star Wars.

        Yeah, Transformers all the way!

Especially the cool metal ones that first came out for Generation 1 and not the cheap-ass plastic ones used later.

Also, like X-Men they totally killed the TMNT line when they came up with crap like "Star Trek" Ninja Turtles.

Today, I saw "Star Wars: Transformers" at Target, anytime you see one toy property merge with another you know that both toy properties have jumped the shark.

I also loved the Thundercats toys, gotta love the light-up action!

They also had some amazing veichles and playsets.

Yeah, all of the above, plus a couple of under-appreciated toy lines from the 90s: Jurassic Park and Hook.

And from the 80s, although it continued into the 90s, Dino-Riders. Something different to the standard 3 3/4 figure lines.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who remember Dino-Riders. 8)

That's another toyline, I'd love to see return.

I also had some really cool superhero toys. I had Batman and Robin, the Hulk, Spider Man, the Punisher, and I had a really cool city that they could all fight in. I also had Bruce Wayne's mansion with a batcave in the back. Those were probably my favorite toys growing up. I forgot about them.

Heh, Reaper, I actually dig that kinda stuff. It's like a comics crossover, except plastic.

Oh, and speaking of superhero toys, does anyone remember the Batman Animated Series figure of Bruce Wayne that you could snap the Batman armor onto? Great figure. I recently found the Bruce Wayne at a thrift store, but without the armor.

Didn't mean to offend you, Daniel85.

I admit that the crossover figures are amusing, but I'd prefer they release the obscure characters from the line. When I was little I always used to just mix my figures together into one storyline like MASK vs MOTU or something without the need of crossover figures.

But that's just my opinion and your certainly entitled to yours as well.

I do remember the Bruce Wayne/Batman figure I remember it being pretty rare and valuable back in the day.

I'd also like to add the short-lived Silverhawks figures with their cool pop-out wings and shiny exteriors. I found a few today and they're all rusted and decayed to death from chlorine, mud, sand,etc..

MASK was awesome. I only seen the show on TV once, but it rocked. I'll never forget that. I did have a Matt Trekker figure(I don't know where he is now, lol),also a big red suitcase that has the MASK logo and all the vehicles.

Is it still owned by Hasbro(Kenner)? This toy line needs a comeback, but I'll be happy if they brought out a DVD set,not like the bootleg one on amazon. :(

I did a trademark search on MASK,and it's very difficult to actually find it. Anyone know if Hasbro got the copyrights? The cartoon, though I'm sure it's still owned by Dic.

80's GIJOE the ARAH collection, this line ruled the 80's both in quality of toys and sheer number, MASK toys are few and far between compared to joes

90's STAR WARS POTF2, with the realauch of star wars a new era of action figure was born and collecting became wide spread

                                  'nuff said :D

90's>>>>>> X-Men...Hands Down... I never seen any toys at that time completing with these excepts with a few exceptions..i think they made every toy that was in the X-Men cartoon at that time, which is alot

MASK toys were so far ahead of their time. I only had switchblade and that big black 18 wheeler but they were my favs among a huge toy collection. Most of my toys were sold at a yard sale when I moved away from home. The worst part is that they were sold in "bulk" as in---I'll give you $10.00 for that entire tub of old action figures. I always mixed my toys. I liked to invision a world where Ninja Turtles allied with GI JOE could do battle with Incerdible Crash Dummies and Batman against Skeletor and his evil minions. The best part was when they all burned the trasure troll villages for plundering.

                                          I'd have to go with

                                          80s: G1 Transformers or Thundercats

90s: definately X-Men. I quit collecting the line when they started going anime style.
