              The Hamburglar originally looked, well, not unlike homemade Halloween costumes of early 20th century. His latest incarnation looks meant to appeal to Rugrats fans, which I'll concede would make sense in 1999, even if I think it's weird.



              There's just no excuse for the first version of Grimace. Although, the source URL in that Hamburglar pic reveals that McDonaldland was "inspired" by HR Pufnstuf. Now things are getting clearer.



              Birdie, actually looks OK in her original concept. It's the last one that seem strangely twisted. And the penultimate rendering is overboard on the "cute" attempt.

                          		 McDonald's sales are doing fine. I'm so sick of companies catering to a select few. Do they really think people's opinion of them is going to change? People know their food is unhealthy and go there for the unhealthy taste. McDonald is a treat for kids and there is nothing wrong with it being less than healthy. It's the parents fault if they're feeding it to them several times a week.

                          There are studies out there that show that fat and cholesterol may not be as bad as once thought. Exercise and limiting simple sugars seems to be more important. If kids are moving around as they should, McDonald's twice a week in its current form shouldn't matter.

                          Like the changes to school lunches, if the food doesn't taste good kids will simple just not eat it. Do you think most kids will say "hey mom lets go to Micky-D's. I feel like eating healthy today"?
