I seen this on Google+ and just had to share this with you. It brought back instant memories of setting in the dark and playing my favorite game. What do you feel when you guys see this?

I see a lonely and somewhat anti-social kid. Video games were fun but looking at it now, they were huge time wasters and the time could have better been spent elsewhere. I had a lot of traumatic things going on around me so video games were a distractor or escape as were television programs. Other than that, I don't know why someone would buy their kid video games unless they want to distract them from reality.

I didn't have that many NES games, I mostly played it at my friends house because they had all the games, So NES gaming was more social for me. When I got the Sega Genesis and SNES, I spent hours and hours playing by my self.

Yes, I was very lonely as a kid, and never had a lot of friends. The worlds I visited in those games helped keep me sane sometimes. I guess that's where I also learned to love writing. I've actually just started thinking about my childhood again, as I think that's where all this nostalgia is coming from.

Honestly, this picture reminds me of why I stopped turning off the lights at night, while watching TV or playing games. Roaches! Fun times...
Other than that, this illustration is a blast from the past--reminiscent of the time I first got my NES in the summer of '88. I couldn't stop playing Super Mario Bros on my dinky B&W TV, I was so enthralled by it. I never got more than four games in the two years that I owned my NES (my bastard father took it away from me). Most of my gameplay happened to be with friends who had more than I did, and we would do temporary trades or they would bring their games over to my house when they visited.
Nice picture.

That's funny, we had the same problem in our little studio apartment when I was a kid. I used to shoot them with rubber bands, I got pretty good lol. Nowadays if I see even one roach I will turn the house upside down.

Unfortunately, my family couldn't do much about it. The duplex property we lived on collects water, and Oriental Roaches thrive in moist areas. Luckily, they don't infest the same way other types of roaches do. Still, within weeks of moving into that place, I quickly learned to stay off the floor in the dark!

That is a pretty awesome gif. I'd like to see my kid doing that one day more than actually doing it myself. Games are a time waster and I'm not sure any grown man should wait in line at midnight for the next Halo.

Hey if you take care of your family and have a good carrier, I say stand in line all you want. I myself attend the Call of Duty midnight release every year.

Trying to get that much anticipated game is a quest. There's obstacles in the way: Saving money for the game, waiting a long time for its release and waiting in line.
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.
My parents wouldn't spend the money for games so I only had a few that I owned. I did rent a lot though and would spend the weekend playing them. I have a PS3 that I rarely play. Video games just piss me off more than anything.
Video games can strengthen the brain in some ways, but playing them too much can have a negative impact on a child's grades and social development. Kids can talk to one another online now. This can be good and bad. Good that they have some social interaction, but bad because they may be less likely to play with friends in person. I think parents should limit their kids gaming when it gets too excessive.
As for waiting in line. I never do for anything. Not even for Jordan's that I may really want. Even though this may mean I won't getting them without paying more from a reseller later. I just can't see myself wasting hours of my day to get something a couple of weeks earlier or to save a little money.
