Thanks to the success of the Smurfs and Alvin & The Chipmunks movies, Disney is hoping to capitalize on animated live-action! First up, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers..

I guess Monty will go back in his "Cheese!" trance again.

There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

Wasn't this already posted? Also, this sounds like a horrible idea.

I've learned too much on this site. First new Ninja Turtles, then The Naked Gun, and now Chip and Dale. I'm going to go drop a bomb on Hollywood now before they mess up any of my other childhood memories. Please excuse me.

I think the rationale behind these movies is they make the adults nostalgic who grew up on shows like these. They have kids now and hopefully can introduce their children to the franchise.

You know that might be a good way of looking at it. There are some remakes I do enjoy. Sometimes I just don't like some of the changes. Maybe I should start having an open mind about the future of pop culture. At least Godzilla's remake looks awesome.

I hope they do a good job, this is one of my favorites. We used to watch it every day after school.

No more live-action remakes of cartoons please! The CGI versions are stupid. Don't try to give Smurfs people eyes. It just looks fucked up.

Thanks, and now I will go have nightmares of real Smurfs running around my house.

Remember the episode when Monty made his famous cheese chowder? I swear I must have been hungry when I saw it because I was craving for some cheese chowder for like a year.

Remember how poorly the Underdog movie did? What if this suffers the same fate?
