Do you, though? I mean, after a while it should hit you that you're an ignorant ass and you should learn from the mistakes of your generation.

I guess some people never learn from their mistakes. But you caught me there. I still think it's ignorant though, no matter what generation you come from. I just pity the guy.

And I think you seem to be ignoring the fact that you're defending an old billionaire racist. The NBA is entitled to run their organization how they see fit. They don't want that guy representing them and I don't blame them.

No, I'm defending anyone who would fall into a situation like this. It doesn't necessarily have to be about racism. Anything you may have said or done in private should be protected if leaked to the public without your consent. As I've stated before, would you think it's fair to be fired from your job because an ex-girlfriend or ex-wife secretly recorded you and sent it off to your employer?

I've already stated the guy is an ass, and I've already stated I'm not defending racism. I'm simply defending our right to privacy.

There's no doubt you will suffer in the court of public opinion, as in Sterling's case, and I feel that should be enough. I don't believe an employer should be allowed to enforce any type of financial punishment for something said in private. In this case, forcing Sterling to sell his personal property (the team).

I think the principle behind his privacy is correct. However, what he said and what he did shows that he has no business being in the NBA business. Not to mention the fact that accusations were already made yrs ago about him being racist in his business dealings. I'm quite sure the NBA knew about it but as usual, stuff like this gets covered up in order to save a winning team or because Sterling through some money their way to hush up. So it might not be right the way he was exposed to the public, but am I glad that he was? YES!

You know, on New Year's Day, I asked myself what would be the biggest scandal in 2014. So far, this is it.

An era for him. Did anyone but superfans know who this guy was before this scandal?

(idk, I don't watch sports much. But as I understand, team owners are not usually widely known unless they are extremely outspoken (which, in this light, I guess Sterling might be) like George Steinbrenner or Mark Cuban.)
