No I-phones, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, over 9000 (literally) TV channels, Instagram. Lil' Wayne was not the dominate rapper. WWE/WWF was still good. Video games were still unique/creative, N64 was still relevant, Dreamcast was still new and new games were coming out for it (2001 was the final year for new releases), Gamecube was new. Cartoon network was still great. Just so much stuff. I miss it all. I know you can't help but shed a tear when you hear this.

Cartoon Network was still great? No, just no. CN died around 96-97.
To me the early 00s were ok, but nothing that really brings nostalgic feelings, not like the feelings I get when I think of the time I was a kid in the 90s.
I can't complain about youtube either, I think its one of the best websites ever created.

I was outside a lot during the 2000s, didn't watch much T.V. What I miss about the 2000s was all the partying, we were stupid and had no shame, which are two ingredients for some crazy memories.
The 90's for me was fun in a kiddy sort of way, we played a lot of games and watched a lot of T.V., but didn't have the freedom to do grown up things like in the 2000s.

I also find it funny you're saying how a time with no youtube was so great, but at the same time using/embedding a youtube video to show your nostalgia.

And it also helps us experience different things again and again.

He wasn't thinking when he said that.
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.
Once 2000 was approaching and the 90s were coming to an end, it was bittersweet. All this talk of the world ending and Y2K really made me sad considering I've had some big trauma in my childhood and just when I thought I was getting my life on track, society was changing from the media's influence. The year 2000 was pretty lame for me. I was in 8th grade in the beginning of 2000, Malcolm in the Middle and Futurama were my new favorite shows and I pretty much was a depressed wreck that crashed out after running wild in the 90s. PS1 was really lame graphically and it was time for a change. I was exhausted with how boring life had become and pretty much just wanted to live in an arcade back when they were still around.
