    		 Just wanted to know if anyone else's join date is wrong. I was curious as to how long I've been on here as I think it's been a few years but when I went to my profile it says "join date 1970" lol was this site up in 1970?? & seeing as how I was born in 85 ya know..

    Anyone else experiencing this problem?

      		 That's the default date for when the forum doesn't have the exact data. The site used to only go back to 1970, which it needed calendar dates for those entries. It used to be December 31, 1969 before the site change.

      If you look at your post history, you could see the oldest post you've made and get an estimate of how long you've been on the site. It doesn't show all the posts that were deleted, however. I'd say you've been here for about five years and two months.

Time measurement units are counted from the epoch so that the date and time of events can be specified without question. If a time stamp is somehow reset to 0 and displayed in local time, users will see December 31, 1969 — the day before Unix’s creation."
