Recent retro articles have lacked pictures, had too many pictures, lacked enough text, had too much irrelevent text or just have bad editing in general. When will RetroJunk revert back to posting decent articles?

There's a whole new crop of burgeoning writers who are still learning. The last generation of writers here were seasoned and submitted a lot of quality work. A lot of people will submit just one article and you can't expect that too be perfect. Give them some time, maybe with the right criticism AND proper encouragement they will improve.

I've read several articles which entertained me here recently. Just because they may have too much or too little of something doesn't mean they can't be fun reads. If you go into one expecting nothing less than professional writing, you've come to the wrong place. This site and others like it are about celebrating the past. It's not a proving ground for writing skills. JMHO.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you were a lurker on this site like I've been for the same reason, respecting articles that were written during the 2007-2009 era of the site.

True, they aren't the same as they once were, but many of the writers that I've contacted with are a little too arrogant to accept the fact that they need to work more on drafting, picture placement, etc.. I'm also one of the only few that thinks that constant profanity in articles is immature and unnecessary.

Before there were many people who gave criticism for articles. Nowadays the writers won't know what's best for them with only a handful of people leaving comments and just liking them for what they are, whether there's mistakes or not.

I mean, a lot of the articles are lacking, but I'm glad people still take the time to write them. They're not all bad.

Instead of complaining, perhaps you should contribute an article or two?

Sound advice. Then again I think all the latest super hero movies suck, but I'm not going to produce my own haha

Are you referring to the Vor-Tech article? If so, personally, I thought it was great! There was a lot of interesting content. It wasn't too long/boring and thankfully wasn't too short.

But yeah, great job! I look forward to reading more of your articles in the future.

I don't think it was very well written. Some sentences have weak construction. There are a lot of run-on sentences that are somewhat difficult to read.

You wrote many times that you forgot something, or that you don't know suchandsuch...presenting yourself as far from an authority, so why are you writing? I think articles should be either authoritative or personal. For the former, find out those things that you don't know. For the latter, talk about your own experiences with the topic.
Or unique. Straight information and reviews has been done so many times, I don't like to read that any more.

I did find some grammar mistakes. 1. I will not "bare with you"; that's something I only do with pretty women. Please bear this in mind. 2. "It's" means "it is", not that it possesses the object. 3. "Preceded" means the object came before. "Proceeded" is the word you want, which means "moved forward."

Other than those uses of incorrect words, your article was actually very good as far as spelling goes. I also appreciate that you centered your images.

I'm playing with the idea of writing an article regarding a 1993 Toys R Us catalog I got last November. It's full of old toys that I and a lot of you remember.

What bothers me about the article program here is that after the updates, all the formatting got messed up. I poured hours into getting my articles to look a certain way. I cringe now when I look at Psycho and I'm a little embarrassed it's at number 1 looking the way it does.
