The last generation of writers here were seasoned and submitted a lot of quality work. A lot of people will submit just one article and you can't expect that too be perfect. Give them some time, maybe with the right criticism AND proper encouragement they will improve.

Just because they may have too much or too little of something doesn't mean they can't be fun reads. If you go into one expecting nothing less than professional writing, you've come to the wrong place. This site and others like it are about celebrating the past. It's not a proving ground for writing skills. JMHO.

System 9 months 9 days ago Posts: 74809	I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you were a lurker on this site like I've been for the same reason, respecting articles that were written during the 2007-2009 era of the site. True, they aren't the same as they once were, but many of the writers that I've contacted with are a little too arrogant to accept the fact that they need to work more on drafting, picture placement, etc.. I'm also one of the only few that thinks that constant profanity in articles is immature and unnecessary. Before there were many people who gave criticism for articles. Nowadays the writers won't know what's best for them with only a handful of people leaving comments and just liking them for what they are, whether there's mistakes or not.

I poured hours into getting my articles to look a certain way. I cringe now when I look at Psycho and I'm a little embarrassed it's at number 1 looking the way it does.
