It's clever to smash a vase of a guy who smashes vases, and I understand his frustration.
I think he would do better to start his own gallery or work with existing(?) galleries if the area museums won't showcase any local artists.
On the other hand, now I've heard of him, which would probably never happen if he took that advice.
However I also question if he presents/perceives the situation accurately. Are there truly no museums willing to showcase local artists, or is he just not very good? And what is the Miami art scene like, are his expectations reasonable? To me, art museums are for old works and foreign works that otherwise could not be available to a community. Local stuff is already there and doesn't need the support of a museum.
