Sure I had homework but life wasn't so stupid with having to go to work at stupid hours. I can't even watch my favorite shows because I need to work and mother nature won't put free beer in my refrigerator.

When we're kids we can't wait to grow up and then when we do we find out life didn't get easier like we thought it would. You don't believe it when adults say youth is wasted on the young, or these are the best days of your life, or other things like that until you become an adult yourself. Well, I guess it's human nature to be dissatisfied with your situation and that's what drives us to do more? I don't know. I just try to enjoy myself when I can.

bassman21 10 months 13 days ago Posts: 4553	We have way more freedom as adults. If you want to watch your shows get a recording device like a DVR and record them. Maybe cut back on the beer to pay for it. When I got my first apartment I knew right away that I was never moving back in with my parents. Even though had could do pretty much what I wanted it wasn't my house. Before I worked I hated having to beg my parents for everything. Today I own my own home and will never live in another apartment. I've done well in life because I've been responsible. I pay my bills on time and manage my money well. I don't do drugs and I rarely drink. If you can get that down and get a job that pays well, you will find that life is much better when you're on your own. Some jobs are very controlling, but most give you much more freedom than school. In school you often times can't even go to the bathroom when you want to. No food or drinks at your desk and all kinds of stupid rules. Well again some jobs have stupid rules too, but we have the freedom to find a new job. Most kids can't choose what school they go to. Maybe you had a lot of freedom as a kid (I did too), but many don't. Some get punished for trivial things and have to deal with stupid rules. As an adult we make our own rules at home. If we don't like what our partner does we can leave them. We can't leave our parents as kids (well its every hard too) Thanks, but I'll stay behind.
