Of course not, but from my understanding the only real advantage Genesis may have is the 6 button controller which is great for fighting games. Other than that, the SNES version looks better and is closer to the arcade version.

That's my go-to place to check on things. I knew MKII came out for Saturn but found out it came out in Japan for PS1. I really don't know why it didn't come out for the PS1 in North America. Strange.

But MKT on the other hand was even better you get to play all of the classic bosses in MKT.... I still love this game for PS1 and yes the load times can get annoying at first but you can get used to that. There where many other games that had some of the worse loading times in history take Sonic 06 on Xbox360 for example...
