    		 Its a PS1 game. It involved a tower and monsters and controlling your own pet monsters and gaining gold and loot from the tower to upgrade your house. You start off using the pet monster your father used after he died in the tower, if i remember correctly. Sorry for the vagueness, i just really want to play this game again.

        		 No not monster rancher, but it's like that. It was kind of like maze in the tower and had different levels and you could fight and navigate around picking up loot etc.

          		 Was it Master of Monsters? Monsterseed? It'd help if you could tell us the genre or other mechanics of the game. Was it an RPG, did your monster followed you around like they did in some of the Digimon games, things like that.

            In town i don't think any monster followed you around, you could upgrade your house and surrounding areas (in town), to get them where you could upgrade yourself and weapons etc. Your monster followed you in the tower and you would fight enemies in a maze type tower, going up level at a time. You would store any eggs or monsters in your house, hatching them and upgrading them as you please. Definitely PS1 game also.
