Last night I gave my Christmas tapes, which included a home-recorded mix tape of my favorite rock 'n' roll Christmas tunes and the "Home Alone 2" soundtrack, a final listen before putting them away, along with my Trans-Siberian Orchestra CD's, until next year. Although many times I have thought about continuing to play my Christmas tapes and CD's after Christmas, since the holiday season doesn't officially end until New Year's Day, but I chose Christmas night to be the "cutoff" time, since most radio stations stop playing holiday music immediately after Christmas Day. Does anyone here continue to play Christmas music beyond Christmas Day, or do you still hear it on the radio and in the stores?

Christmas music really loses its appeal after it gets repeated ad-nauseated
throughout every novelty music station and Christmas movie showing for the
            past month or so.

This is why I don't listen to it at all, if I can help it, which I can't. It's inescapable. Even though I don't listen to the radio.

My family doesn't celebrate Christmas until January 3rd. That way we can decorate the house at 75% off because of all the post DEC 25th sales. It's really economical and allows us to splurge.

I'm currently listening to Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song.

I'd say until new years. I find the week between Christmas and New Years to just be lull.

I don't stop listening to it. Good music that makes me feel good is alright to listen to all year long.

I gradually peter out after xmas day. I don't have any hard deadline or anything, just when I no longer feel like listening. However, I listen to xmas music once in a while all year long, so..... *shrug*

I wonder if Music Choice is still playing Christmas music.

I got tired of Christmas music years ago. Once most normal people get past elementary school age there's only so damn many times you can stand listening to it before you're ready to beat the wings off the sugarplum fairies and give Rudolph a red ass beatdown. Even the "comedy" ones, the joke gets stale when you've already heard it over and over again every single day for an entire month the past several Decembers.
