ReBoot is a textbook example of what can happen when something really is "ahead of its time", the audience has to catch up to the show!
Like evolution - some folks get-it and some pretend to, lol.
Even Season One from 1994 is worth every penny Mainframe Entertainment spent on developing the series. Just as much went into the writing of the show as the visuals. Characters turned out to be a lot more complex than a casual viewer might glean from channel surfing.
I still don't know what happened between ABC and Mainframe Entertainment, but ABC ended broadcast after Season Two. And That's too bad. Because the audience was starting to "catch up" with the show's creators.
By Season Three, ReBoot was just hitting its stride:

I loved this show when I was younger. I just wish they'd put out a dvd set that wasn't entirely filled with problems and mistakes. It's a real shame that I can't add Reboot to my collection.
Don't pay any attention to the evil spirited and dead of heart. They're not worth your time.
