What tragic/sad unfortunate events have occurred in your family? My eldest brother was killed in a hit and run by a drunk driver the night before Thanksgiving. Me and my parents were asleep in our hotel room in North Carolina. we were going to Boone NC to visit my sister and her husband and toddler son until in the wee hours of thanksgiving morning, we got a call from the police back home about what happened. We were so shocked and devastated we checked out of our hotel and got in the car and my mom suddenly fell unconscious we had to take her to the ER in Columbia, SC. E her up.They had to give her tests and scans. We were deeply worried about what was going to happen, but fortunately, her body was in good shape, then they had to give her an IV and lots of fluids to wake her up. She was awake, but numb and totally distraught and in disbelief like we all were. Then we made it back. Make a long story short, we had people and friends and neighbors come by to give us food and care. Then we had the viewing and now today starts the funeral. Please be with us as we go through this tragic ordeal. Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No

Uh...I'd rather not talk about family tragedies on the internet. For two reasons:
1. They're too personal.
2. They're too morbid.
Sorry, I hope you understand why I can't talk about them. There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

Sorry for your loss, you have my condolences. Funerals for me have been bitter sweet. It sucks to have to say your final goodbye, but it's nice how family gets together and show support for one another.
After my grandmother died from cigarette smoking back in the late 80's, we had a long period of time with no deaths in the family. During my army enlistment in the 2000's I have had some friends killed in battle; those were the first times since my grandmother’s death that I had to deal with loosing people. From 2007 to present, my family has been dropping like flies. I've lost four close relatives in this short time, my grandfather, two aunts, and a cousin which was unexpected because she was fairly young; she had an issue with her heart. Are you sure you want to delete this post? I was 13 when I lost my big brother (my only sibling) to a drunk hit-and-run driver in November 1977. He was hit while walking across a road on his way home from his friend's house on the night of November 11 (Friday) and died in the hospital early the following morning, just 10 days after his 18th birthday and he had just graduated from high school that June.
My mom passed away at the age of 56 on January 2, 1984 when I was 19, after being in the hospital for nearly 2 months. She died from lung cancer caused by smoking, despite the fact she quit in June 1979.
My dad passed away at the age of 72 on October 6, 1993 when I was 29, also from lung cancer (Mesothelioma) caused by asbestos. He had suffered a stroke early that same year and was put into a nursing home about a month before he passed away.
All of my aunts and uncle have passed away over the years (2 aunts on my mom's side, and 2 aunts and 1 uncle on my dad's side), with my uncle being the last to go (August 2009).Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No

Hey dudes, if you wish to grieve and get some healing in the process, I suggest perhaps joining Facebook groups. There are groups for everything. Depression, anxiety, etc. I bet there are even groups for people who had close people in their lives killed in drunk driving accidents. Join and share your experiences on there. There is help out there. Don't think you're alone or the only one who went through these things. There are people out there that can help you. You can also reach out to other people or maybe getting some counseling whether professional or through religious figures. Don't try to grieve through this all on your own. Reach out to other people and don't fight this battle alone. Facebook has a bunch of groups to help you through this. I'm sure you're feeling depressed so find a group on depression or other groups that you can't talk with like religious groups and whatnot. Just join a bunch of them and tell your story to them. I'm sure you'll find people that are willing to listen and help you out. Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No
