Was anyone able to get anything out of this? If you didn't know, a 'glitch' caused walmart.com to display extremely low prices for a wide variety of items. The video games caught my eye, so I drifted to that. I bought GTA V, Pokemon X, and Pokemon Y for about $18 per game. Even though I hated to go into one of their stores, I opted for the 'store pickup' in order to save on shipping. As luck would have it, GTA V was out of stock, but I was told I could pick it up on Monday or Tuesday.
Late last night, I get an e-mail from the fine folks at Wal-Mart telling me they would not be honoring their prices and that my order was canceled. They went on to explain they'd send me a $10 gift card. Problem was, I bought the game on a $20 gift card I'd had for about a year. They're refusing to refund the gift card, so I basically gave them $10. I've e-mailed/tweeted/called and haven't really received a response yet. Oh, Wal-Mart.Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No - 1 year 29 days ago

I fail to see how buying something at a price they advertised is 'hustling'. Certainly when I had no idea at the time that it was a glitch on their part.
I have no issue with not getting the game. They can even keep their $10 gift card. I just want my original $20 refunded. If that's a 'hustle', it's a really shitty one.Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No - 1 year 28 days ago

Well they had a brand new $60 game for about $18, and you thought that was legit! I may have a bridge you might be interested in...Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No

It's not that outrageous to think they had some sort of early Black Friday deal. This is Wal-Mart we're talking about. It's not like they're not able to afford cutting prices that much.
Again, my issue is them refusing to refund my money. They can keep their game, but it's sketchy of them to refuse to fulfill the order, keep the $20, and throw out a $10 gift card like they're doing something nice. I'd rather be beaten to death than step foot in one of their stores anymore.Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No - 1 year 28 days ago

I agree that they should refund the money, and am not surprised about their response. They don't even pay their own workers! So you know they won't hesitate to screw a customer.

Yeah, a lot of their practices are disgusting. I plan on calling again later today, but I'm assuming that my $20 is gone for good. I've not been a huge fan of Wal-Mart since I watched a documentary on the company (I can't recall the name of it).Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No

I've seen this quote in a few different websites, such as here;
http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2013/11/07/wal-mart-glitch-prices/3464033/wrote:[spokesman Ravi] Jariwala said that the company is notifying customers who ordered these items that their orders have been canceled and they'll be refunded in full. In addition, it will send customers a $10 e-gift card that can be used toward future purchases...
Good luck Derk! Check that email again. Maybe it says something about refund that you missed, or maybe it omitted that detail. Call your nearest location to ask, spend those gift cards, and never patronize them again...tangspot2 wrote:Mrs. stake you say some nasty on my threads. Thanks! I e-mailed them back a little bit ago, no reply yet. If I don't hear anything by this evening, I'm calling (again). I haven't patronized a Wal-Mart in any form for years until my fiancée brought this to my attention. They definitely won't get my business again after this.Are you sure you want to delete this post? If they don't honor their own policy on refunding cancelled gift card credit, maybe you can file a complaint at the Better Business Bureau.Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No

I plan on doing that if today's attempts fall flat. Though, to be honest, I'm not sure how much good it'll do.Are you sure you want to delete this post? Yes | No
