Hello all!
I have been watching many dystopian movies as of late and one has escaped me...
I saw a bit of it on tv a few years back and it seemed good.
here are tidbits to help anyone in naming it
I believe the movie was made between 1980-1992 given the quality of the cameras. The acting was great mind you.
I believe the first scene was in the snow, a man and woman and I think a child were out in the snow, and something about armed men and such.
I think they tried escaping...I believe there were trains and such as well.
no way to tell what era, but nothing crazily futuristic
and then I fell asleep
woke up to the same movie
and it had a smoking blonde middle aged woman talking about things sort of like she was telling of her life or of that going on. I think she was of importance and may have been a writer. I think there was a hint of trying to make it seem as though she was a lesbian
the movie had a big brother gov vibe, a war vibe too.

I was in and out and my tv at the time didn't list the name on the screen and I kick myself for not waking up
