Alright guys, this is a huge shot in the dark, but I figured that someone here might know what I'm talking about.
When I was a little kid in the early 90s, I used to rent this video from the library that I cannot remember the name of. I always just called it "the weird movie" as a kid which doesn't help me now. I only remember a few disconnected details:
1. It was an animated movie, and I think it was a bit older, maybe 70s or 80s (but I could be wrong)
2. It definitely involved dingoes or wolves or dogs that I'm 90% sure turned into cavemen children
3. There was a scene with a talking hill or mudslide or something that gave them a task to complete
4. This somehow involved 4 or 5 elements (fire, water, earth, lightning?)
5. There was a scene where a lightning storm caused a stick to catch on fire
6. I feel like it was european but I could be wrong
I've been searching since yesterday and can't figure it out. A forum search revealed nothing. I even called my mom and brother back home to see if they had any recollection, and the only other detail I got was that it might be called something like The World Before Man or Before Time, etc. I've tried looking up every permutation I can think of with no luck.
