"Tom Clancy, whose complex, adrenaline-fueled military novels spawned a new genre of thrillers and made him one of the world’s best-known and best-selling authors, died on Tuesday in Baltimore. He was 66."

I'm kind of shocked to hear this. He was a writing giant!

His name was associated with a pretty significant library of successful video games as well. He will be missed.

I'm sure they'll make similar games based on someone else's books. However, just because Tom Clancy died doesn't mean they can't make more Splinter Cell games.

I just found out about this yesterday when my library had
a special display just for his novels in remembrance of him.

I hear that Rainbow Six games are still being made.

Yeah, If you see "Tom Clancy's" on top of the title such as in Splinter Cell or Net Force, it was written by a ghost writer. Nothing to stop them and the video games from going on. (Although, The Rainbow Six franchise is one of the toughest and most real IMO)
