OMG ... Hai Karate Mens cologne!..sloppy joes in the school cafeteria...those sweet smelling clear pink erasers...the chalk board when it was your turn to erase (or while writing I WILL NOT TALK OUT OF TURN 100 times)...PERMANENT WAVE LOTION...that heavenly smell when you walk in the door of the luncheonette/stationery store

I'm on a roll now - Herbal Essence shampoo... Bain de Soleil and Coppertone suntan creme... also Iodine and baby oil...the wintergreen of the wax lips and harmonica when chewed at Halloween... those early sunless tanning lotions P.U! Noxema...the mingled smells of hay cotton candy beer and corn on the cob and of gear grease and the hot metal of the rides at the local fireman's fair

Fresh warm Cinnamon buns. I remember there was a Cinnabon by a video game store and before I would walk in the video game store I'd walk by the Cinnabon and get a whiff of the most beautiful smell in the world. Also, Burger King where they flame broiled Whoppers. Beautiful.

Walked by a guy watering his lawn today. The smell of water coming out of a hose reminds me of childhood somehow.

The smell of Christmas plastic trees and different ornamentation.
            Marshmallow cereal, like alpha bits.
Old plastic stuff like VHS tapes, video game consoles and cartridges, toys, etc.

My grandmother was the sort of woman who was ALWAYS baking, so whenever I would visit her house as a child, I was always greeted with the smell of chocolate chip cookies and apple pie intermingling....it was divine

Me too. Every time I see a fresh mowed lawn in the summer I somehow
get reminded of my childhood house in Georgia back in the late 90's.

One of my favorite smells as a kid was opening up a fresh pack of Garbage Pail Kids. That gum smell was the best.

Another smell I remember as a kid, which is still around, is that moth-ball type smell when you walk into K-mart. The newer stores don't have this smell, but if you can find an older store that's still around from when you were a kid, that smell is still there.

Hostess had a bakery in town when I was growing up (it's long gone now) and I remember as a kid driving on the expressway headed to my grandmother's, passing over it and just smelling that warm bread, baked good smell. I could've sworn I smelled it last night too, even though I want to say that factory's been gone for well over 15 years by now or so.

I'm going to second gasoline, because we took a lot of road trips as a family and just one whiff reminds me of piling in to the car and driving off to who knows where.
These aren't my rules. Come to think of it, I don't have any rules.

I think there was a Flowers Bakery factory a county away from my old house
in Georgia. The thing was near a small park in Villa Rica and when I walked
across the place there was the smell of bread off in the distance. :)

                              -Play Doh
-McDonalds fries (I'm aware that is not a positive thing. I don't even eat them)
