Goofball 1 year 7 days ago Posts: 101	The '70s was my favorite decade--mainly because that was the best decade for movies. The Godfather, The Deer Hunter, The French Connection, to name a few. Today's movies are all made for kids. They're all either remakes of old classics, or they're about super heroes, vampires, or zombies. Hollywood has run out of good ideas, so they churn out mainly crap.

luv90s 1 year 7 days ago Posts: 92	Don't forget to add Star Wars to that list of the great 70s movies. I agree with you whole heartily about movies today. Anybody who knows me will tell you that I'm a movie buff to the tee, I would see about 30 movies a year on average, but this year I've only seen about 10 if that with The Hobbit the only movie remaining that I'm truly excited for. Hollywood has run out of ideas and the 3D crap has killed it altogether.

Goofball 11 months 6 days ago Posts: 101	Oh yeah, how could I forget Star Wars? My aunt took me to see it when I was 9. I don't think that people born after '77 can appreciate how much of a groundbreaking film it actually was. I don't recall any previews shown on TV, so you went into that movie not knowing what to expect. Then you were totally blown away from beginning to end. Months later, my stepdad finally wanted to see it and I, of course, was more than happy to see it again--it was the first movie that I went to see more than once.
