I've been recently revisiting some 90's bands I used to listen to, especially after seeing a bunch of them on the Under The Sun tour. Everyone from Sugar Ray, to Smash Mouth, but also Fastball were HUGE on creating the summer sound of my junior high years.
Well Fastball's probably the most talented of the groups on that tour, yet they're reduced to opening FIRST. Before Vertical Horizon? No way!
"The Way" was such a 90's classic. It's aged well too. Just a great, well written pop/rock song. You should revisit it:

Kudos to a band who still works as hard as these guys do, recording new material to boot.
Oh yes. Fun Fact: the song was based on a news article about an elderly couple that went missing. The band made up a story about them riding off into the sunset. Turns out, they drove into a ditch and passed away.
Anyway, speaking of 90s indie bands, I recently went to a concert featuring Ben Folds, Barenaked Ladies, and Guster.
