I applied at Best Buy and they asked me these incredibly open ended non work related questions like, "How would you describe yourself, "Tell me your biggest secret" and "If you were a lilac, where would you grow?" I had like 15 second gaps in my answers and it was just bad.

Ugggghhh Stupid Stupid Stupid! Seriously what the hell does knowing where a lilac would grow have to do with selling electronics? Here's what they should have asked you, "Can you sell electronics, yes or no?" Most likely some dumbass human resources manager came up with this hippy dippy bullshit after attending a seminar where some idiot who sounds like a motivational speaker was spouting off bullshit like "thinking outside the box" and "achieving synergy."

LOL word! He should have answered every question with an answer related to Best Buy.
How would you describe yourself? I'm a highly motivated individual that enjoys working with people and have the skills to work at Best Buy.
Tell me your biggest secret? I really think these question are stupid and would like some related to the job I'm interviewing for.
If you were a lilac, where would you grow? In the middle of a Best Buy so all of the customers could smell me and see how beautiful my Best Buy yellow flowers were.

You never know they may get a kick out of it and hire you.

Radio Shack used to be my favorite store. But now my favorite store is Best Buy, and that's no secret!
