    		 After seeing most of the episodes, I have to say I find Family Guy funny, and its one of my favorite shows. I love the cutaway gags and I like the political jokes too.

    So why all the hate?

        		 I think it's funny but in small doses.

        Family guy is very formulaic. Something happens, Peter makes a reference to something, and then it cuts to that reference.

        Also, the animation department cuts corners by stalling for time, and I'm sorry, I'm not that big a fan of Conway Twitty lol

          		 I think South Park is partially to blame.

          The newer seasons weren't really that great though (I stopped watching a couple years ago). The feel of the show just felt off for some reason when it returned. The cutaway jokes became longer, everyone started being cruel to Meg, Brian became an egotistical jerk and Stewie was not as evil as he once was, instead making jokes about his homosexual side.

                		 I haven't really liked Family Guy since Cleveland left. It's just not the same without all 4 of the guys.
                Don't pay any attention to the evil spirited and dead of heart. They're not worth your time.

                    		 Just like The Simpsons and South Park it started out great and stayed great for a long time but it has gone on for too long and has gotten stale. The #1 rule of showbiz is "leave em' wanting more" and producers of Sitcoms need to embrace this rule and let shows die with dignity instead of milking them for every penny.

                      		 I think the South Park parody of this show was dead on. The "flashbacks" or whatever you want to call them in Family Guy get old really quick. Not only that, I just feel like they take the easy way out their humor. I could care less if it's 'vulgar', but at least make it clever. Making fun of Michael J. Fox and having Quagmire rape Marge Simpson is just pathetic.

                      I think American Dad is actually the better show. The Cleveland Show was awful and I'm personally glad it's gone. It's just a shame King of the Hill was canned to make room for more Seth McFarlane garbage. In my opinion, it was easily superior to anything McFarlane has ever done.

                            		 *sucks in breath* This is a can of worms. Essentially, Family Guy has been reduced to sophomoric humor that makes light of issues like AIDS and pedophilia. I'm far from prudish, but when your entire joke bank consists of things like this, it becomes extremely unfunny very quickly. Coupled with repetitive gags and unlikeable characters (the entire show consists of comic relief characters that no one really cares about), it's just an obnoxious show with no sense of comedy or direction.

                            I personally hated the Star Wars special and have not found it funny since maybe season 2. Not even remotely. It deservedly got cancelled. Ever since they brought it back, they have made a point to be as badly behaved as they want to be. Bad isn't always awesome.

                                		 Another reason that people might hate Family Guy is due to the longer, unnecessary scenes like the "And then there was Maude" scene.

                                        		 Oh, and not to mention all the 80s references they make that really aren't relevant or funny. It relies too heavily on its formula/gags. This naturally happens to a lot of sitcoms over time, but they began with that stuff pretty early on and they haven't corrected it. It just gets worse every season.
