Cheese's but it's not the same) Famous Barr Venture Dunkin Donuts (though they are coming back all over here now and they aren't NEARLY as good as they were in the 80s/90s) B. Dalton Musicland Sam Goody Blockbuster Video (back when they were in every retail plaza)

selfinflikted 1 year 3 months ago Posts: 15	Anyone else remember TG&Y? This was one of my FAVORITE stores as a kid in the 80's - they always had a great selection of G.I. Joe, He-Man, and Transformers action figures. I didn't always get a toy when my parents took me to TG&Y, but that didn't stop me from begging every single time! TG&Y = Toys, Guns, and Yo-Yo's - for those of you who remember this store and want to be "in the know."

Lamstons 5 and 10 cent store and woolworths where I bought model kits, balsa wood gliders and soldiers. Alexanders,Montgomery Wards, Crazy Eddies.

Goofball 11 months 19 days ago Posts: 101	I remember occasionally going to a little Woolworth's store in the early to mid '70s. For some reason, we always simply referred to it as the dime store. My mom and I would go in there mostly to take a break from any appointments we had to go to, or if we were shopping for necessities (clothing, etc.). It was always a nice diversion. We'd sit at the lunch counter and I'd have a glass of Coke, maybe some French fries. And if I had been behaving well, she'd buy me a crappy little toy like a plastic alligator or one of those cheapo Wooly Willy things. I was at that age when it didn't take much to amuse me. Sadly, both that store and my mother are gone.
