80sChildNostalgic 8 years 9 months ago Posts: 134	When I lived in California: JC Penney (my mom shopped there a lot when she worked there because of her employee discount) Albertson's Zody's K-Mart Montgomery Ward When we moved to Ohio: Food Town (no longer exists) Kroger Anderson's K-Mart KB Toys Woodville Mall (I remember back when I was little and that place was always buzzin' now it's like a damn ghost town with a bunch of crappy stores) Lane Drug (later Rite Aid) Hill's Handy Andy (we went there frequently when we were getting stuff to fix up our new house)

Toys R Us Bargan Harold's BiWay Food City Bonanza Knob Hill Farms (One of my guilty little pleasures when I was a kid was to sit underneath the shopping cart while one of my athority figures pushed the cart around. This was before they started putting child seats in their shopping carts but by that time I was too big for child seat anyways.) IGA A&P That's about it.

Around here you can't go 2 miles without hitting a Dunkin Donuts. And I'm not overexaggerating that either. I can't even count how many we have here. I can think of 5 off the top of my head. Also, a Target just opened up here last year. And I miss JC Penny's! We had one in the mall, but they closed and a Filene's moved in, and it sucks. We have to drive a long way to get to a JC Penny now, but I love their clothes, and we always end up saving like 50% on everything.

ThreeTimesOneMinusOne 8 years 9 months ago Posts: 518	No longer around that I went to: Department stores: Woodward's and Woodward's Food Floor (Coquitlam Centre) Eaton's (Coquitlam Centre) Woolco (Lougheed Mall) K-Mart (Westwood Mall) Burquitlam Plaza: Tino's Pizza Willis Source For Sports Jim's Farm Market In other places: Chuck E Cheese (the only location in the area, near Lougheed Mall) Buns Master Bakery (a few locations) Muffin Break Fuddrucker's (only around a couple years near Lougheed Mall) Lone Star Cafe (Took Fuddrucker's place after they closed down, went there once. Not bad. Closed down as well.) Arby's (Disappeared almost completely from the Vancouver and Greater Vancouver area. There used to be several locations, including in the 2 areas that I posted pictures of, but they vanished out of thin air. They have made a resurgence in the past couple of years, and there are several locations again. I don't eat there, though, just when I was little.) Sam The Record Man Dufferin Game Room Card Sharks Winning Spirit (Vancouver Canucks team store, used to be at Pacific Coliseum and some malls. Changed it's name to Authentix and is now located at GM Place.) Yogurty's Frozen Yogurt (Lougheed Mall) Fields (Some clothing store my mom went to and since we were little, she usually had to drag us shopping with her. Boring times.) Fanny's Fabrics (See Fields explanation, except they sold fabrics and patterns and that shit, instead of actual clothes.) Buy-Low Foods This one toy store at Lougheed Mall who's name escapes me. Colour Your World (Paint supplies) Cody's Books (Westwood Mall) Louie's Submarine (Coquitlam Centre) W.H. Smith Books (Coquitlam Centre) They have a handful of Little Caesar's around here. Just a few of them. I figured they would be everywhere. Then again, restaurant-wise, BC doesn't, and has never really had any Taco Bells that I know of. Just one on the way to Whistler, and maybe 2 others. Lack of Taco Bell has always been a mystery to a lot of people, I'm sure.

System 8 years 9 months ago Posts: 74809	As far as stores that 3x1-1 didn't cite: I remember that there used to be a Spencer's Clothing in Coquitlam Centre where Sport Chek is now. Also used to be a Sports Experts near where the old food court was. Shoe Strings is gone too.
