    The title says so.

    I was banned from:
    Couldn't play Stretch
    Couldn't leave without a jacket
Could't light sparklers on my own

Our old neighbors showed me the game. They wouldn't even let the neighbors play it!

Me and my bro use to play that. But we called it Wimp test. You had to keep your feet firmly planted on the ground. who ever got closest to the others foot won. Or if you jumped away you lost. only time we ever got caught playing was by my nan when we played in our bare feet. We thought she couldn't see the neighbors yard from her window.

                        It's a BAR.

My mom was very anti fireworks when I was a little kid. She wouldn't buy them or let me light them. As I got older it wasn't an issue. Overall I had a lot of freedom as a kid and don't remember being banned from anything. If anything I was given too much freedom. I'm grateful because there were soccer/helicopter type moms even when I was a kid.

I always heard the game stretch called "mumblypeg". Yeah my parents definitely banned the hell out of that one. If I tried that, I'd still be getting paddled right this second.

My whole life, it was just called the knife game. This is the first I've heard of it called anything else...from anyone.

Now, mumblypeg I have heard of. From reading old kids' novels, or possibly Edward Gorey.

One of my cousins got banned from it because he filled up on pudding and seeds before the actual meal at Pizza Hut. Afterward he told his mom he only got 2 slices of pizza and she yelled at my uncle for it. The little punkass didn't tell her how before the pizza he ate like 4 damn bowls of pudding .

I know it's possible. But I'm pretty sure vkimo was making a joke.

While this thread is about things your parents wouldn't let you do, getting banned is usually something where the establishment is involved. At a forum you get banned for spamming. At a store, you get banned for things like being rude to staff, interfering with merchandise (like sneezing on the salad or running your hands through it), or indecent exposure.

I couldn't cross the street unless one of my parents watched until I was about 7. Which sucked because my friends all lived on the other side.

Same as bassman, I mostly wasnt censored or banned from anything as a kid. I think it helped I was a damn goody goody and never got in trouble. Watched pretty much what I wanted and stayed up pretty late. I don't think I asked to do much in highschool though ( was quiet, spent alot of time in my room and all my friends lived in different towns and couldn't drive haha) so I can't say what I'd have been allowed to do.

I take the same approach with my son pretty much. He's 9 and can play outside or walk to the playground and bus stop withought me( I can see the bus stop from my house) and is probobly allowed to watch some stuff his friends don't. However he's like I was. He's quiet and never gets in trouble at school. One thing though, I don't let him eat the insane amount of junk I was allowed to eat. I was a seriously fat kid. So yes he eats some junk sometimes but not to the extent I did!
