    Was Rugrats still popular in 2004? No.
    Was Grunge around in 2004? No.
    Was Grunge huge in 1992? Yes.
    Was the Simpsons more popular than Family Guy in 2004? No.
    Did the Simpsons rule the airwaves in 1992? Yes.
    Did Family Guy exist in 1992? No.
    Was ITunes around in 2004? Yes.
    Was ITunes around in 1992? No.

    So I'd say 2004 was much more like 2013, than 1992.

      You gave me the obvious answer. Rugrats was great from 1991-1997. Things started going downhill in 1998, not only for Rugrats, but for Nickelodeon itself.

          YouTube started in 2005. So no it wasn't around in 2004. Also, Rugrats may not have been as popular as it was in the 90s, but it was still airing new episodes in 2004, not to mention All Grown Up.
