rickyagnew 1 year 5 months ago Posts: 31	definitley 1989..i'm an avid fan of the 80's..lived them and loved them.for one thing,society was a whole lot friendlier back then..i was in my 30's back then so i remember them VERY clearly! yeah definitely 1989..but with the knowledge that i have now and i'd want a friend to be able to go with me.if i could live through 1989 and come back to the present,that would be really cool.

RomanBlade86 1 year 5 months ago Posts: 289	1989 for sure. Back in 1989 is when my family and I emigrated to the United States when I was 3 so I would definitely love to go back to that time. To be honest I don't remember anything when I was 3 and I don't remember the emigration process. My family and I stayed in Italy for 3 months I believe and Austria for a month and I don't remember a single thing!

Goofball 1 year 2 hours ago Posts: 101	Definitely 1989. In May of that year, I had just gotten out of the Army and just turned 21, so I partied my ass off. I had plenty of money saved and wasn't in any immediate need of finding a job. I spent that summer at our cabin on a remote lake partying, fishing, swimming and waterskiing. 1989 was one of the best years of my life!

It was IBC, Inflammatory Breast Caner, which is very aggressive. She was triple negative meaning the drugs they use to fight it will or did not work.

No modern technology like cell phones, internet, Youtube (I think I'd die a little inside without YouTube, LOL), BUT all of the things I love and miss about the 80s, early 90s like less cynicism amongst people, a more peaceful way of life (pre-9/11), spending a lot more time with my grandparents before their illnesses (now both gone), and the fun things I remember from my childhood like video rental stores, restaurants and chain stores that have looong since closed down...yeah, I think I'd want to live back in '89 for a while, but not permanently. Maybe a couple of months.
