    I like stuff from the early-mid 90s, even though I just started Kindergarten in 1990.

      		 I do not understand the basis of this question. There is nothing to identify with. And why bother to split up the decade? Is everything about everything really so drastically different in these minor periods? I am reading a book which terms 11000 BC through now "the Recent Era". That to me is more relevant than talking of "early 90s and late 90s." But even that is not specific enough for you. The 90s represented a multitude of cultures. Some of them can be represented by the whole decade, some are not, and many extended beyond one true boundary or another or multiple.

      That said? I guess I have more affinity for "early 90s", when zine culture was at its most vibrant and subversive, and cyberpunk culture was burgeoning, limitless, and underground. They were in fact tied together in some ways. But I never thought of it as "early". Just "90s".

      I defy you to identify a single period which fully encompasses more than one significant youth or pop cultural movement without dormancy. I'm completely serious. If you don't answer this it tells me you are complete full of shit. I suspect it already but please show me up. Thank you

        Mid 90s begins in 1993.
        Mid 00s begins in 2003.

        The last year of early 2000s is 2002.

          		 Each era had it's own pro and cons.

          Being born in the early 80s, the 90s really were my defining decade. I was 7 when the 90s started and just about to turn 18 when they ended. I literally went from childhood, through my teens and into adulthood during the 90s.
