    		 Geez, folks around Seattle are all jealous cuz New Yorkers can't get enough of the newest pastry craze, the Cronut.

    Well I thought croissant dough, deep fried and covered in powdered sugar was old stuff, a la Europe.

    Sorry, the last thing I need is a new pastry:

        		 C'mon Ed. You know you want to stop on by for our county fair this year and try out some deep fried Oreos, Twinkies, pickles, and just about any other thing you can fit in a deep frier and that hillbillies will buy for 3 bucks each.

          		 We went to a county fair the other day (UGH! the white thrash level was on the red) and somebody was selling "Deep Fried Coke". Not even want to know how that tasted. Pretty sure there must've been a Deep Fried Whale Blubber vendor somewhere.

            		 Those look amazing! I hear there's a place nearby in Ocean Beach that makes cronuts.

            In Hawaii, they have chocolate and haupia (coconut) filled malasadas
