I thought that too at first, then came to later appreciate his portrayal more. I thought the guys from Big Trouble in Little China were perfect Raidens. I also thought Van Damme should have been Johnny Cage.

You couldn't be more right. In fact I often wondered if Cage was inspired by Van Damme. And Raiden was an almost complete copy of the dude from BTILC.

He could've been inspired by Steven Seagal.

No because then Johnny Cage would be a fat guy with a ponytail.

I thought the actress choice for Sonya Blade was pretty good. Her name is Bridgette Wilson-Sampras. She played Veronica Vaughn, who was in Billy Madison.

              Ugh!

"This video contains content from NBC Universal, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

I can't see the video, but I do remember that scene. I could never forget when she was in Saved by the Bell.

She always seemed to play a tough as nails character. When she was Sonya, she snapped Kano's neck. A guy's neck!! And when she was Veronica Vaughn, she laid down the law to Adam Sandler. "You keep your mouth shut, or I'm gonna flunk you. End of story". And of course, she punched him in the face later on in the movie.

Her Saved by the Character wasn't so tough, though. She was some ditzy blonde lol.

Remember when she was on the bad team during the army episode? And by bad I mean the team made up of the worst athletes.

Oh, yeah. That was a good episode. I've seen all Saved by the Bell episodes. Except for the college ones and the New Class episodes.
