Of all the Looney Tunes characters I had the most problem with Pepe Le Pew. While mom and dad were having a goodtime, Pepe did not compute with me as a kid.

But let a few years go by and everything changes, no?

Pepe did his best with cats in most of his cartoon shorts, but for some reason there was one episode where Pepe fell for a little dog. That's the one I'm linking to here, it's called "Scent-imental Over You" from 1947. As far as I know this is the only time Pepe goes canine.

I think Pepe just felt sorry for her.
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

I'll never forget when ABC aired "The Bugs Bunny Show" in primetime starting in 1960 and ending around 1962 or thereabouts. The whole family , including my grandparents, gathered around the one TV set we owned.

"Scent-imental Over You" stands out in my memory because when Pepe goes into that Tarzan-yell, my mom and dad just died laughing!
I was too little to get it.
