Name a food from your childhood you hated. It can still be around today but it has to be old school.

I'll get it kicken with SMILEY FRIES! :)

I've never been a fan of sloppy joes. I used to hate it when they were served a school lunch or at birthday parties. Also Nintendo cereal was pretty disgusting. Also my mom went through a phase where she kept buying Honeynut Cheerios. I liked them at first (which I guess is why she kept buying them) but I got really burned out on them and to this day I cannot stand the taste of them.

I have to agree about Manwhich aka sloppy joes... Never really cared for that at all and haven't had it since I was young. I also haven't had frozen chicken nuggets, frozen fish sticks or kool-aid in over 15 yrs and I don't miss them at all.

Tater tots! Why do people like those so much? They are mushy and gross.

Pizza rolls. These are OK the first few times but it didn't take me long to get sick of them. And if I ate them now, I'm pretty sure I would find them downright disgusting.

And like chokeslam, I got real burned out on honey nut cheerios many years ago and still don't like them. Regular cheerios are fine.

You guys remember "A la Carte" entrees from KRAFT back in the 80's?

These were the foil pouch "flexible can" packaged dinners ready-to-eat. I first saw these in Seattle around 1981. A la Carte meals were available in Beef Burgundy, Beef Stroganoff, Beef and Macaroni, Beef Stew, Salisbury Steak, Sweet 'n Sour Pork and Creamed Chicken.

The cooking process used to make them shelf stable rendered the chicken very tough, so Kraft stuck mostly to beef and pork for tenderness. Unlike canned food, A la Carte entrees looked OK but didn't have much flavor.

What I don't miss is the price. These "meals ready to eat" were expensive, $2 to $4 each by my memory - and this was back in 1981. You could buy a giant can of Dennison's Chile for $1.39 back then.

Kraft "A la Carte" entrees stayed around in stores for about two years. For the money they wanted the portion size was small and flavorless. I say "send it into space - let the astronauts eat it".

Hamburger Helper: Never liked any of it.
Fish sticks: Fish tasted old, batter tasted processed.
Frozen chicken nuggets: Tasted highly processed, like saw dust and grease. Kid Cuisine's were pretty good though.

You kids have no idea how nasty most ready to eat meals were in the 70s, 80s and 90s. They have improved them tremendously.

I was always fine with Hamburger Helper for some reason (even though it's not the healthiest thing)though it tastes better homemade.

-I HATED fish sticks with a passion. To this day, I still refuse to eat them.
-Anything involving onions also never made it onto my plate (with the possible exception of onion rings)
.I also despised Sloppy Joes (though I did try them a few times as I got older)

I was not a picky eater growing up. I liked most of the things mentioned above. Now however I cannot stand to eat pizza rolls. Also easy-cheese (the can stuff) is gross now.

Circus Peanuts. My goodness, I thought they were awesome, until the day I bought a bag for myself. I never ate them again.

Oh man, I loved PB Max! I sooooo miss them. I also miss Planter's BP Crisp. I like Turtle Pies though they were nothing special. Just vanilla pudding pies coated in green. Kind of a weird tie-in since pies had nothing to do with TMNT. Pudding Roll-Ups, again they were ok but nothing special. I much preferred the fruit variety.

PB Max had too much peanut butter for my taste. I never liked the Turtle pies, wasn't crazy about the filling. There were similar pies on the store shelves that tasted better, like the cherry or apple filled ones. I was a huge TMNT fan too, but still couldn't enjoy those pies, and don’t imagine the turtles would either.

TMNT pudding pies. It was gross but my brother and I bought them because of the free sticker it came with.

Cracker Jack, maybe the only sweet snack I never really liked. It always tasted "old" to me.
