This was a big story a few years back. The funds to build this were raised by Kickstarter and it's looking awesome. Anyone living around the east side of Michigan that plans on checking this out?

      "Your move, creep."
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

I enjoyed the movie as a kid, and I still do today (to a degree), but I don't think it's statue worthy.

They always make RoboCop have weird looking hips, almost like he's wearing overalls or something.

          I agree a statue doesn't sound like a good idea, it's just a movie.

Although I wished they'd put up the Rocky Statue in Philly...

True, but that's not where it was in the movie.

Rocky is definitely statue worthy. That movie is a timeless masterpiece. They made Sylvester Stallone a judge and role model along with Sugar Ray on that "Contender" boxing show even though he's not even a real boxer lol, and yet the competing boxers would still take his advice seriously.

I thought I heard somewhere that after all the Rocky movies, Stallone actually tried real boxing. It makes sense though, when you play the part in a movie, the producers spend a fortune training the actors. Stallone in my opinion, had as good conditioning and skill as any amateur boxer.

Maybe conditioning, but I don't know about skill. I didn't see anything on line about him having a real boxing match. I don't think he should either, he would probably get pummeled and tarnish the Balboa legacy.

You're probably right, I think I subconsciously made that up about him boxing for real.

How could anyone think a Robocop statue isn't a brilliant idea? It's f-cking Robocop!

I bet the crime rate in Detroit will drop at least 30% once this baby goes up...until someone steals the statue.

Whoever made the second Robocop should've studied the first one a little more thoroughly. This little kid gangster irritated me.

I barely remember the sequels, but they were written by Frank Miller. And I believe the second one was directed by Irvin Kirshner who directed Empire Strikes Back.
