      it was the sudden shift in culture that killed the 80's- rap and hip hop and it's vast acceptance and becoming the dominant style(s of music as well as the fashions of dress)/..i consider it the major force in killing the 80's,as fashion trends became much different(suddenly showing one's buttox cleavage in public was cool and acceptable) and at that same general time frame,crime began to spike in all the major cities.logically however,the 80's would not have lasted too long into the 90's anyway just as the 60's and 70's 'ended' so must every decade fade and eventually become retro/i regret that the 80's have become such a time of the past and that so much has changed and gotten worse in this world since then. but things cannot remain forever what they are today.
