I thought he passed already? Wow. His work was a massive force in my childhood imagination. I've seen Clash of the Titans and Jason and The Argonauts dozens of times.

His work was just amazing. I loved seeing those stop motion movies of his day. He will be missed.

This was the man that my friends in grade school knew by name at a time when they couldn't name anyone else in a film, he was that famous!

Ray Harryhausen understood that it was unreality that makes movies fun to watch. The stop-motion process lends an otherworldly quality that gives any movie that "creepy feeling" that I still look for in movies.

By his works shall he be immortal. Rest In Peace Ray Harryhausen.

I still get a kick outta "First Men In The Moon" from 1964. Love the insect-like Selenites, especially the leader of the hive. Cool movie!
