    		 Hey! Does anyone else have any memories about the things (movies, commercials, shows, toys, etc.) that creeped you out as a kid? Or at least when you were younger?

    I'll start out by sharing my fear towards E.T.



    I was a bit too young to really understand the whole story line behind the movie. All I remember was an awkward creature with a weird finger, who was secretly plotting to kill-off our human race. But everyone else was just too naive to see it. Haaa!

      		 I remember as a little kid being freaked out by all those teeth in Flipper's mouth on that 60's television show of the same name. Kept seeing Flipper chomping down on someone's arm.

        		 Hey eddie,what was the name of that Canadian animated show from the 60s you made a thread of once? Y'know,the one about a dwarf-ish looking kid with a cone hat. Because THAT cartoon really did freaked me out when I was very young.

              I'm a bit too young for that one too. However, I did google it and let me tell you, it does look a little weird lol.

                I HATED these things


                The Furby..

                Other than how creepy they looked when they moved, I think a lot of my fear towards them had to do with the fact that they resembled the Gremlins (1984 horror-comedy movie) a lot! And that movie really took a bad toll on me.

                    Yeah, no kidding. I actually think we used to remove the batteries from ours.

                      		 Chatty Cathy dolls from 1961 were so weird that the neighbor girls told me they always took the batteries out at night, better safe than sorry, lol.

                                    		 Do you guys know how popular "Lassie" was back in the day? Then other animal shows followed like "Flipper" and "Skippy the Bush Kangaroo".

                                    There was this show from 1967 about a boy and his pet bear called "Gentle Ben". Something about that show was creepy. Maybe it should've been called "Hungry Ben", lol.

                                      		 Well, it's not from pop culture, but there was a noise in my basement when I was a kid. As the radiator pipes would shift or contract or whatever they do, they made kind of a tapping noise that you could hear in the kitchen. "TK! TK! TK!" I imagined there was a gray man in a gray jumpsuit down there, tapping on the walls. I called him The Tapper Man.

                                          		 I really have to check some of these shows out. I'm such a fan of retro, hence the reason I'm here. :)


                                          I'll try to look-up these things except for the Tapper Man lol. I don't think I'd find him even if I tried!:lol:
