    National Geographic has been running a mini documentary basically making the case for the 1980s being a great innovated decade. The PC Boom, Cell phones, Video Game culture, Music Video, Cartoons, its been pretty good so far

          		 You have to admit, the 80's are just one of those decades that stand out. I'd say only the 60s seem to get as much recognition.

            Thank you, thank you for the link. I have to agree with V-man, the 80's was a very dynamic decade. I've talked to lots of people that think the 80's may actually outdo the 60's. In fact I used to say that the 80's was the 60's without the cool cars.

            I take great personal pride in seeing out the 20th century and sharing observations online with you guys.

                		 I've watched the first couple of these and really enjoyed them. I was born in '85, so I don't remember a lot about the '80's, but it's still interesting nonetheless.

                  		 I've watched 3 of them so far and they are really good. They did a fine job of highlighting the economic boom, corporate greed, the yuppie culture and drugs use.

                        		 Just watched the first part, excellent. I love how they use 80s music to carry the show along. I was born in 86 so I don't remember much of the stuff being said. Seems like an awesome decade to have been able to experience first hand.

                                  		 I turned 12 in 1980, so they '80s was my coming-of-age decade. Except for the video games, some of the music and movies, I really didn't partake in the culture of the time. I'm from a mostly rural area, and while in high school, I was mostly focused on the outdoors. I spent most of those years hunting, fishing, trapping and camping. Those were some of the best times of my life.
