I don't remember hating any commercials. But I loved the Hooked on Phonics commercial. Or I should say, I loved the Hooked on Phonics phone number. I would call 1-800-ABCDEFG from the payphone in the school hallway and ask the poor sap who answered to tell me how Hooked on Phonics can work for me. Or something like that. One time he told me I was very clever and asked if my mommy or daddy taught me to do that. No sir, it was television! Sorry I screwed with you.
Mrs. stake you say some nasty on my threads. Dirty bitch

Just about anything that was shown on USA network during "Night Flight" could be counted on to be played to death. Jim McMahon (Chicago QB) and Sandra Bernhardt (almost comedian) doing commercials for scooters were bad enough but the one that annoyed me to death was the one where a Panasonic Boom box the size of a city block lands spitting out a gaggle of rappers. To this day their "song" gets into my skull when I see the Panasonic logo.
I'll be damned, I actually found it on Youtube...
Didn't know who Earth, wind and fire were when I was 14. However, this appears to be an extended version of the commercial. Imagine hearing the chorus of this little ditty for a minute or so three times a commercial break for four hours......
