vkimo 1 year 8 months ago Posts: 2325 Forum Mod Editor	I'm curious, who here works full time? I notice a lot of the members are on during the day. Whether it's because you don't work, or work on a computer I don't know. So what do you guys do for a living? Hell let's get personal. What do you do for a living and how much do you make? I work 9-5 for an online store making 13 an hour.

bassman21 1 year 8 months ago Posts: 4553	I sell most of the major TV, phone and internet providers. I work noon to 9/10 at night. Our internet is restricted so I can't get on why I'm working except during breaks. It's straight commission and I made around $60,000 last year. My company is making it harder and harder to make that kind of money this year, but I'm doing OK so far. I don't really like what I do, but for what it pays I would be stupid to leave at this point.

Ghost of Vapor 1 year 8 months ago Posts: 360	Our hours are actually 8 to 5, with an hour lunch in there somewhere. If I am doing anything online here or at RetroDaze, it is usually during those hours. I take care of my "retro" business when I'm not doing work for my "actual" business. I don't really do much online after work hours because that time is reserved for my family. What I do for a living is anything and everything propane. And please, save the Hank Hill jokes.

vkimo 1 year 8 months ago Posts: 2325 Forum Mod Editor	Wow, Bassman that's a nice salary! But those hours, that's like the whole day! The job I'm at now is very monotonous and repetitive. The thing is we have a quota of sorts so you need to work at a fast pace for hours on end.

I wouldn't mind 10-7, but the calls kind of suck around that time. I don't work 8 to 5 because I don't like dealing with the rush hour traffic, plus I like staying up late. I used to work until 5 am back in the 90s.

richie freebird 1 year 7 months ago Posts: 3	I work a full time job as a “Senior Instrumentation Engineer” in a calibration laboratory. It's not as posh as it sounds, but I'm really lucky, in that, to a certain degree, I can control my own hours with flexi time. If I happen to have worked any more than 37 hours in a week, I get paid OT rate for the rest. Very lucky indeed, I am.
