    		 I remember coming here all the time a couple years ago reading the articles and reading the forums. Now it just all seems like everyone has deserted this place just like i did. Did anything happen to cause this? Or did it just happen over time?

              		 Well yes i did but if their was an outcry from the people of the forums why wasnt it fixed? Was all this gradual or all at once? I just imagine its some epic story but i guess not

                		 I think Vertex changed the site because it was infringing on too many intellectual copyrights with all GI Joe font, and banner containing all the old characters.

                  Glad you stopped by metallus.

                  We were all posted about the new Retro Junk site upgrade. When the date for the changeover arrived, I (can only speak for myself) expected a full custom website with new features.

                  This looks like an "off the self" website suite package w/ choices for color themes and font styles. In one afternoon the old Retro Junk was turned into what you see now. Most of the changeover bugs have been worked out but I'm still having trouble with the site's spam filter settings. I do have fewer troubles if I use Google Chrome instead of IE9.

                  The "fun" I felt coming to the old RJ is gone now. We've been losing older members ever since but that leaves room for newer ones. And of course, given time, the old gang just might come back to say hello.

                    		 A great many people pissed & moaned about the new design. The killer for me though is all the damned bugs. When the "up"dated site was dumped on us, it was in some sort of pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha state, hardly useable at all. While many of the original bugs have been fixed, more keep getting dumped on us. Apparently vertex has never heard the addage about not "fixing" something that ain't broke, prime example: logins. Logging in was one of the few things that was working fine, then vertex decided to "new & improve" it, and now it's impossible to remain logged in across browser sessions. This login bug has been unaddressed for ages now, and it is the single biggest reason why I rarely come here anymore. I used to come to the forums frequently, but having to log in every single friggin time, then getting redirected to the main page & having to go back to the forum manually (because vertex can't even go so far as to have the login redirect you back to where you were) is just too aggravating.

                          		 It just kills me because this site has such huge potential. I'll never understand the thought process behind this redesign. Over at Retro-Daze GhostofVapor is turning out updates left and right!
