Anyone can file a tax return online, but what if you could scrap the whole process totally?
With "No File" you don't have to do anything except watch your mail. The IRS will complete form 1040 for you and mail it to you along with a check for your refund or a remittance slip if you owe.
You also have the option to review and correct the IRS prepared return for any errors. The idea of a "No File" tax return is not new, it was considered by Congress back in 1985. You would get the "No File" option if you do not itemize your deductions, have income only from wages and have no or low number of dependants.
If that's how you usually prepare your tax return, the IRS already has all that info on you now and could complete a return form for you.
