All of my articles are missing pictures, have repeated images, show code text, have formatting issues, etc. What happened to Retro Junk? This used to be the cool place to be. People wonder why a lot of people left since the site updates. I didn't particularly like the new layout as I thought it was not user friendly and the deletions of the profiles was lame but at least you could still cruise through a couple of old articles and have a smile. Now you can't even do that. I see that I am not the only one affected many other older articles are toast.

I think what NLogan is saying is some articles that were posted years ago and used to look right don't any more because of the site revamp. Not sure how so without links to have a look, but this article (for example) doesn't look right. It's got the same four pictures over and over again.

Honestly no worse than some of the new articles that are being written.

                  lol, harsh.

Even my articles, which aren't very old, are strewn with — where there used to be normal punctuation marks. I didn't write them in Word or anything should have created weird characters. At least the pictures are still correct, and I have backup copies elsewhere.

It's an unfortunate thing, and something I have no doubt Vertex wishes there was a quick fix for.

I think it's especially dangerous for custom built sites like Retro Junk to be "re-vamped" or "converted" because there is no magic button to press that changes things without data loss or other programming issues.

It is something that concerns me a bit with RetroDaze, but my plan is to, well, never do that. I will add new features and fix existing issues, but a total conversion into something else will never happen.

Now, if a site is built on pre-existing code, like a Wordpress or Joomla site or some other familiar build, you can change things quite easily, and without fear of losing much of anything. That is their advantage. But you are also limited greatly in what you can do with them.

No offense to retrodaze. But I went there to check it out and at first I thought it looked cool. However now that I tried to read some articles and navigate it, it's kind of gaudy (a lot gaudy). Seeing this site's old format vs current format. I like this format as it's more simple and straight forward. Yes there are bugs and some of the older articles aren't readable. But that's how it goes. I'd like to see new and better articles, rather than keep reading old ones.
