    		 Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, be free to move it to a different section. I notice most people on most nostalgia related websites are pretty biases against the late 90's stuff when it comes to 90's related things. I remember one person on the web posted a Rocket Power image and people were like "This is not 90's!". It's like people are like the 90's was only 1990 - 1996. I think the late 90's was just as good as the early and mid 90's. The late 90's had a lot of cool shows, music (like Rob Zombie) and video games in my opinion.

      		 It's not even as detached from the early and mid 90s as many claim.

      Original Goosebumps books were still being released in 1997, and even some grunge (Bleed Together - Soundgarden). Layne Staley released new material with Alice In Chains at late as 1999. The Nanny aired new episodes up to 1999.

        		 Rocket Power may have started in 1999, but spent most of it's original run and cultural relevance in the 2000s. Just like Spongebob Squarepants.

          		 1999 is still apart of the 90's. I think it's unfair that shows like Captain N can be view as 80's (which came out in 1989) shows while shows like Rocket Power can't be view as a 90's show.

            It's not unfair. When was Rocket Power culturally relevant? It would be different if it both started and ended in 1999.

              		 I can understand Family Guy and Spongebob being more 2000's show since they had more life time in the 2000's and were still relevant by 2009. Rocket Power ended around 2002 or 2003. People view shows like Captain N and Dink, the Little Dinosaur as 80's show even though they both ended in 1991 and had re-runs playing during the mid 90's.

                Re-runs aren't really the same thing as original airings.

                  Okay, but my point is that I think that is rather hypocritical that shows that came out in 1989 like Captain N and Dink, the Little Dinosaur are view as 80's shows while shows like Rocket Power and Ed, Edd n Eddy are not view as 90's shows because they came out in 1999.

                    		 I think it's a matter of perspective. It feels easier to attribute shows of '89 to the 80's because the impact of the show culturally fits better with that decade. Perhaps shows of '99 will end up being viewed similarly with more passage of time.

                      		 I never really thought about Captain N being "counted" as 80s or 90s, because time is a stream and not a bunch of boxes. My advice when you see people acting otherwise is to remember those people are not in the best mental shape. But I guess someone might label Captain N as 80s because it had a short run and the first season was the best. The third can definitely be safely ignored, and the second was just OK. And, it was all based on 80s games. There's a possible reason.

                      Similarly, I can't recall anyone arguing about whether Ed Edd Eddy is a 90s show or a 00s show, and I would not have a very high opinion of people participating in that. I only saw the show in 1999, so I guess if you asked me to think about it I would say it came from the 90s? If I had watched the show later I might think differently. But either way it's not something I would voluntarily think about.

                      I have never heard of Rocket Power or Dink the Dinosaur.

                          		 I liked the late 90s. I was in junior high and a little bit of high school. There was Pokemon, 3rd wave ska, swing revival, the anime craze, and the fashion. I liked late 90s fashion.

                            		 The late 90's was when music went downhill. MTV also went downhill and Beavis and Butthead had ended. As far as cartoons go, the late 90's was good.

                              		 The late 90's was one of my favorite years of my childhood. In 1999, I got a Gameboy Color, N64, Final Fantasy 7, Pokemon Red and Rampage 2 for my birthday. 1998 was also the first year that I got to play the N64 and the original PS for the first time. Super Mario 64 blew my mind away as a kid.

                                  		 I don't think anybody hates the late 90s. There was a lot of bad music and stuff (in my opinion), but there was a lot going on. The internet was getting really exciting. The South Park phenomenon was grabbing hold of kids like nothing has since. We seemed to be hurtling towards the future as technology advanced and the calendar approached a rollover. Like any time, there were plenty of things for us first-worlders to like and plenty to dislike.
